about
Seth Herron (of Witch Hunter) who performed vocals on this song, was once in a band with the guitarist of Viral Tribe called Echoes of Creation. This song was the first collaboration between the two artist in over 6 years and stands as what the future could have been for the band had not for complications leading to Devin's departure from the band.
Like many songs from the Neuromancer EP, the lyrical and musical themes of the song attempt to convey the feeling of being overwhelmed in ultimately lost in the modern age of infinite digital information.
The music was remixed/remastered from the original Neuromancer EP recorded at Phoenix Studios in Nashville while vocals were recorded at the Alabama based AllInRecording by Kevin Langley who produced the Echoes of Creation discography as well as many other local Alabama bands.
lyrics
Noble land of visual temptation
Gazing in stars turned into damnation
We’ve been robbed by this global sensation
Open minds manifesting fascination
The dregs of human filth
I would be better off alone
A public subject to myself here inside this home
Delete. Repeat. Lose sanity, and sleep
Forever written in digital stone.
I would be better off alone......
Overwhelmed by their hateful tones...
I would be better off alone.....
better off alone.....
Victim complex. Every mistake, magnify glass. Holding zero accountability. Nothing could ever be free.
I would be better off alone......
Overwhelmed by their hateful tones...
I would be better off alone.....
better off alone.....
Absent. Martyr. “Ashes, we all fall down.”
Drown. Found. Clown. Never ending full
circle. Around. And around. No one will ever swim out.
Repressed by wires and circuits
Broken down. Obsolete.
Lost in a sea of static
Overwhelmed, I cant breathe
Wade. And wait. Through the trash and decay.
Vomit away all trace of patience and your mental state...
Developed a taste for shit
Your senses relish in it
Division and petty distractions
The stress of public approval can make me whole....
I would be better off alone......
Overwhelmed by their hateful tones...
I would be better off alone.....
better off alone.....
Absent. Martyr. “Ashes, we all fall down.”
